Our Story...

Hello,

I’m Suzanne. My husband Earl and I started Kids’ Hair. After a decade in the salon business, I needed a change and Earl agreed. While searching for ideas, we were fully aware that the last thing the world needed was another hair salon, unless we could do something that was really different. We realized that cutting hair for children was totally different than cutting hair for adults. We had discovered a niche and hence; Kids’ Hair was born.

In August of 1992, with a three year old at home and nine months pregnant with our second son, we opened our first Kids’ Hair. This journey has been our labor of love and it is a great feeling to build this dream right in our own backyard. Earl and I were born and raised in Minnesota, Earl in Fergus Falls and myself in the Twin Cities. We attended school, gotten married, bought homes and raisesd our children in the Minneapolis area.

In the years since we opened the first Kids’ Hair location, we have grown our family to three sons, 14 hair salons and a specialized team of 150 specially trained individuals who genuinely care about your child and their experience at Kids’ Hair. We are proud to be your hometown kids’ salon choice!
